Friends
Friends area overview
The friends section has three views:
- My Friends
- Find Friends
- Friend Requests
Find Friends
Find Friends shows eligible student accounts in your school and lets you send requests.
Eligibility in search results:
- Students with real accounts (not unclaimed invitation placeholders)
- Students who are pending onboarding or already completed onboarding
Friend requests
You can:
- Send a request
- Cancel a sent request
- Accept or reject incoming requests
My Friends
In My Friends you can:
- View accepted friends
- Remove a friend
- Open a friend’s schedule view
Friend profile photos
Friend search and friend views use profile photos with the following priority:
- Clerk profile image (when available)
- Stored profile image fallback
- School/default avatar fallback
Troubleshooting
If a friend is missing from search:
- Verify they have finished account creation
- Verify both of you are in the same school
- Refresh after they complete onboarding actions
